The name of this new car aims to embody a sense of adventure, challenge and escape, and represents the freedom to explore. The TORRES design evokes the natural look of one of the wonders of the world with its vast and natural biodiversity. Production of TORRES for the Korean market will begin in June 2022. The EV version of TORRES (project name: U100) will be launched for the European market at the end of next year.
The photos shown are tantalizing with some design drawings of the car, which is the first result of SsangYong’s new design vision and philosophy, ‘Powered by Toughness’. The front of the new TORRES features a vertically styled radiator grille, giving it a tough and sturdy look, while the tailgate features what resembles a spare wheel mount to give it an authentic off-roader character.
Together with its rugged and sturdy appearance, TORRES promises efficient use of space and a number of features that make it suitable for outdoor activities, such as camping and exploring.
