The Retro Classics vintage car show in Stuttgart is an important date for the antique car scene, especially for those from southern Germany and neighboring countries. European car manufacturers as well as classic car dealers love to bring historic vehicles to Stuttgart – both for collection and for sale. There are also motorcycle manufacturers such as Harley-Davidson, which showcase historic machines in the Swabian metropolis.
Entire collection disbanded: VW classics in flashy colors – and in tip-top shape!
Even though the 2022 trade show is one size smaller than it was before the pandemic, Karl-Ulrich Herrmann, Managing Director of Retro Trade Show, is confident about the future. His forecast for 2023: “The size of the trade show depends on the demand. We hope the demand will increase again and we will be able to occupy all the halls again. We assume that more exhibitors will come from overseas again next year. The focus is always quality before quantity, we don’t want to show space with anything, but good stuff.”
Useful for classic car owners
An essential task for the whole classic car scene
Tiddo Bresters, President of the FIVA World Classic Car Association, sees the exhibition (and perhaps the landscape as well) as a challenge: “Classic cars help old people feel young. To keep classic cars alive, we have to be young. Get people to drive classic cars without feeling old. .”
AUTO BILD CLASSIC is at the exhibition and has collected the most beautiful classics from the 2022 edition in the photo gallery.
