The stylish surfaces, lines and design details of the third generation BMW X1 model make the SUV character more visible than ever. Distinguishing elements include the proportions, the nearly square contours of the wheel arches and the distinctive BMW X styling at the front and rear. At the rear, the X1 promises a full three seats and therefore significantly more seating comfort than before. The 40:20:40 folding rear seat backs are also angle-adjustable for more luggage space. The option of a longitudinally adjustable rear seat for models with internal combustion engines gives the X1 more versatility. The 540 liter luggage compartment can be expanded to 1,600 liters. The optional trailer hitch is now electrically operated at the push of a button.
The Maps navigation system, leather-wrapped sports steering wheel, automatic temperature control and rain sensor with automatic lighting activation are standard equipment, as are four USB-C and two 12-volt connections and more driver assistance systems than in the previous X1 generation.
The iX1 xDrive30 is BMW’s first all-electric all-wheel drive model in the premium compact segment. Two electric motors integrated into the front and rear axles produce a combined power of 230 kW (313 hp, including temporary extra power) and a combined torque of 494 Nm. If desired, the iX1 xDrive30 sprints from rest to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds.

Standard equipment includes Cruise Control with braking function and Approach Control Warning. The X1 features the latest generation BMW iDrive and Live Cockpit Plus as standard equipment. It is based on Operating System 8 and includes a Curved Screen with advanced graphics and menu structure, and a Smart Personal Assistant with new skills.
