At least at Porsche, a car’s CV is important for the chances of getting a very specific model. Because: The accepted customer is not automatically a customer who comes first, who is serious, persistent, and fluid. No, the motorized Vita has to be awesome. Or you make concessions.
This is happening to a friend. “You have to buy it – something like that will never happen again,” I advised him during one of our gasoline talks. I mean the new 718 Cayman GT4 RS, the first information from the press kit excites me.
The friend was not completely ignorant of Porsche. Sports car enthusiasts bought their first 911 in 2003, which was young. For years he drove it to the Porsche branch for service and repair. Likewise with the newly acquired 911 Turbo which is only two years old.

Treated like an applicant
Buddy swallowed the two frogs, yet he didn’t want to miss this amazing sports car. But we were happy too soon: the initial contract disappeared in the seller’s drawer with no promise of sale. Including the watch, my friend is willing to spend almost 200,000 euros on the car, but is treated like an applicant.
Such a game requires sympathy
Why did they do this? “Are they waiting to see if regular customers who decide late will still want to own the GT4 RS?” asked a Porsche fan. Dealers may have more influence as the GT4 RS is being wrenched out of Porsche’s hands. And of course it’s up to Porsche themselves with whom they want to sign a contract; already listed in the BGB. But: Such games require sympathy points!
