“We are pleased to finally be able to offer our factory visit again after more than two years,” said Andrea Frydlová, head of the Skoda Museum. “The visit is worth it, because our factory has changed a lot during that period. In Mladá Boleslav, for example, we have started production of the all-electric ENYAQ iV family and MEB battery systems, while in Kvasiny we have finished. first CO2 neutral production at Skoda AUTO at the end of 2020.”
Tours are aimed at tech enthusiasts, as well as school classes and families with children ten years and older. The ENYAQ iV family, Skoda’s first all-electric production model on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, is now rolling out from the same production line in Mladá Boleslav as the combustion engine Skodas. In addition, the production of battery systems for MEB models of various brands of the Volkswagen Group recently started there. This makes Mladá Boleslav the only location in Europe outside of Germany where this battery system is manufactured.
For a tour of the Mladá Boleslav factory, sturdy shoes without high heels are an advantage, as is your own car with free seats for the guide. The Skoda Museum can book minibuses for groups of up to seven people by prior arrangement. Guided tours can be pre-booked for each of the three production sites on this website.
The entrance fee for a factory visit is 180 CZK (about € 7.30); tours in other languages cost CZK 260 (approximately €10.50). Factory visits in Kvasiny and Vrchlabí are free. Tours, which last about two hours, are often led by former Skoda employees.
