The name Monte Carlo refers not only to the world-famous rally, but also the sporty Skodas of the past. In particular, Skoda Popular Sport, which took second place in the world famous rally in 1936. At that time, this inspired Skoda to build the limited Monte Carlo Popular Sport.
On the outside, the Monte Carlo is recognizable by the standard metallic paintwork, dark-tinted windows, alloy wheels and various black accents. The front spoiler has a black border, as does the window sill under the door. The mirror cap is also dark and the wings are decorated with the Monte Carlo insignia. At the rear, the Monte Carleo has a diffuser.
The FABIA Monte Carlo is the only FABIA standard on 16-inch light alloy wheels. They are dominated by black aerodynamic rims of the Proxima Aero Black type.
Unlike the regular FABIA, the Monte Carlo version has sport seats with integrated headrests, a 3-spoke sports steering wheel and aluminum pedals. And thanks to the combination of black, gray and red, the interior looks sporty.
Automatic air conditioning is standard, as are parking sensors and Driving Mode Select. The center touchscreen has been upgraded from 6.5 to 8.0 inches and supports wireless linking with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Virtual Cockpit, a digital instrument panel with a 10-inch screen, is on the list of options for 390 euros.
Two power variants of the conventional 1.0 TSI Greentech turbo petrol engine are available for the new FABIA Monte Carlo. The version with 95 hp and a five-speed manual gearbox has a starting price of 25,190 euros. The 1.0 TSI Greentech (110 hp) with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission is available from 27,690 euros. Rates quoted are shipping prices from January 1, 2023. The new FABIA Monte Carlo will be available at dealerships from August 2022.
