The Red Dot Award is one of the most famous and prestigious design competitions in the world. 48 judges from 23 countries, including professors, designers, journalists and consultants, evaluate each entry based on various criteria, including functionality, ergonomics, durability and environmental friendliness. In 2022, the Red Dot, the internationally recognized mark of quality for high quality product design, will be awarded for the 67th time. The official awards ceremony will take place during the Red Dot Gala on 20 June 2022 in Essen.
The latest Red Dot award for FABIA is now the seventeenth design prize presented to Skoda by an international jury. The Czech brand received the first Red Dot Award for OCTAVIA COMBI II in 2006. After four more Red Dot Awards in the Brand Design and Communications category, Skoda AUTO also won the award in the Interface & User Experience category for the first time last year for the MySkoda smartphone app and system.
