Tonale offers two tiers of electrification: Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid which will hit the market later this year. The Hybrid is available in 130 hp and 160 hp variants, both linked to a 7-speed TCT automatic transmission and a P2 electric motor with 48 volts, 15 kW and 55 Nm. Electric start and fully electric drive can be done over a short distance, up to about 3 kilometers. The 275 hp Tonale Plug-in Hybrid variant, due to launch later this year, in theory offers a full electric range of up to 80 kilometers (urban cycle, more than 60 kilometers in combined cycle).
Alfa Romeo supplies the Tonale with a new infotainment system as standard, including the Android operating system, 4G connectivity, and Over-the-Air (OTA) updates. The system includes a 12.3-inch digital display, 10.25-inch touchscreen, and an advanced multitasking interface, letting you see everything at a glance.
The Tonale also comes as standard with 18″ light alloy wheels with anodized brake calipers, LED daytime running and flashing lights, and full LED taillights and reflectors. Things like wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Global Telematics Box Module (TBM) (Alfa Connect Box) ), Alfa Connect service, cruise control including speed limiter, light & rain sensor and automatic high beam are also standard equipment.
Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Auto Emergency City Brake, Traffic Sign Recognition, Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA), Lane Support System, Driver Awareness Detection, and Tire Pressure Gauge (TPMS) are standard from the entry-level version. Tonale can drive independently at level 2 thanks to the new Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Non-fungible token (NFT) technology is standard in every Alfa Romeo Tonale. Alfa Romeo is the first Italian automaker to link cars with digital NFT certificates. With the customer’s approval, the NFT technology records the vehicle data and thereby generates a certificate, which has a positive effect on the residual value.
The new Alfa Romeo Tonale will be available at Alfa Romeo Dutch dealers from mid-June. Price:
